Sairat (2016)
Movie

Marathi, directed by Nagraj Manjule. The rush of a young couple's attraction has the scale and musical pleasure of a popular romance, while caste determines how safely they can act on it. Rinku Rajguru's confidence makes the early courtship immediately engaging. Do not mistake that buoyancy for a promise of comfort: the story moves into severe social and physical danger.
