Charité (2017)

Berlin’s famous hospital provides a recurring setting for medical work, ambition and the pressures of different eras. The opening story begins in the nineteenth century, with later seasons moving into other periods and even a speculative future. It is an expansive institutional route into German television, especially if you enjoy watching scientific possibility meet unequal access and political power.
