The Story (2024)

Jasmine Trinca plays Ida, a Jewish schoolteacher trying to keep herself and her sons alive through war and its aftermath in Rome. Adapted from Elsa Morante’s novel, the series measures immense historical forces through a vulnerable household. It is the most painful social-history choice here, with survival shaped by neighbours, scarcity and the reach of persecution.
