Daniele wakes in a psychiatric ward after an involuntary admission and begins to understand the men sharing it with him. The institution’s rules, the staff’s decisions and the patients’ attachments create a small, consequential community. Choose it for care and authority examined through daily proximity, with the relationships gaining complexity beyond the labels attached to each patient.
