The Lying Life of Adults (2023)

Giovanna begins to question the adults around her as she moves between different parts of Naples and different accounts of her family. Another Ferrante adaptation, this makes class legible through language, manners and access to particular homes. Choose it for a shorter, more concentrated study of how an adolescent discovers that respectability can depend on who gets to tell the story.
