Deadloch (2023)

Deadloch's first season lets two badly matched investigators collide with the social habits of a Tasmanian town. Like Only Murders, it makes knowing the community different from understanding what its members are hiding. Choose it for a sharper, much more profane crime comedy with an ensemble that complicates the central partnership. It contains gruesome discoveries and serious violence, so its comic energy does not make it an equally cosy choice.
