The Chalet (2018)

The French-language The Chalet brings a group back to a remote village and lets an earlier history intrude on a present-day gathering. Isolation makes it harder to escape either the danger or the versions of the past other people carry. Choose the short 2018 mystery for the link between adult relationships and what happened years before. Its revenge-thriller construction is more compact and less interested in prolonged social collapse than Yellowjackets.
