A mysterious phone can erase a person, giving two people in an affair an apparently impossible way to remove obstacles. The thriller becomes compelling as the device changes what its users are willing to justify. It is a dark relationship story with a genuine speculative engine, including violent consequences that keep the central wish from remaining an abstract thought experiment.
