Panic (2021)

School-leavers in a small Texas town enter dangerous challenges because the prize appears to offer a route out. Money changes the meaning of an apparently voluntary choice, which makes the connection more useful than simply counting lethal games. The ten-episode teen thriller has a more melodramatic register than Squid Game, and cancellation prevented further development.
