Flesh and Bone (2015)

A young dancer enters a demanding New York ballet company with a personal history that cannot be left outside the studio. Sarah Hay's physical fluency makes achievement look like labour rather than an instantaneous gift. This eight-part adult drama is a severe companion to The Queen's Gambit, with sexual abuse, exploitation and disordered eating requiring far more care than a glamorous dance premise suggests.
