Bunheads (2012)

A former Las Vegas performer becomes involved with a small-town ballet school, where teaching younger dancers also exposes her own unfinished ambitions. Sutton Foster and Kelly Bishop give mentorship a wonderfully argumentative form. It is a warmer, less obvious route into practice and possibility, although its single-season cancellation leaves the students' and adults' longer journeys open.
