The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)

Midge learns that being quick in a room is different from constructing an act and sustaining a professional life around it. Rehearsal, revision, hostile venues and a manager's work make the connection more substantial than period glamour. The five-season comedy-drama is a lively route from Beth's public performances, with family support often conditional on remaining recognisable to the family.
