English Teacher (2024)

The 2024 American series follows an idealistic but compromised teacher whose colleagues and pupils do not line up neatly behind any one argument. It shares Abbott's pleasure in clashing methods, while using a sharper, more adult register. Brian Jordan Alvarez and the ensemble make an ordinary school dispute feel unstable; the two-season run ended without continuing into a third.
