Riverside Mukolitta (2021)
Movie
Released
A man seeking an undisturbed life discovers that his neighbours are very interested in sharing its ordinary necessities. Naoko Ogigami lets meals and borrowed domestic space make companionship both intrusive and necessary. Choose it for an ensemble whose small comforts remain close to death, poverty and loneliness. The 2021 festival film reached Japanese cinemas in 2022, and its humour never entirely removes the ache.
