Fringe (2008)

Fringe begins with strange investigations before making family choices and the consequences of crossing boundaries much more central. It is a good next step if Dark's most powerful question was what someone might change for a child. Choose it for a five-season journey with warm recurring relationships alongside its speculative mechanics. The early case-of-the-week rhythm is substantially different, and the larger design takes time to emerge.
