Utopia (2013)

The 2013 British Utopia follows people whose interest in a mysterious graphic novel attracts the attention of an organisation with a brutal idea of the greater good. It shares Black Mirror's interest in information, consent and the rationalisations behind a system's design. Choose it for a violent conspiracy serial rather than a sequence of self-contained technological fables. Its two-season run ended with its story unresolved, and the saturated visual style does not make the cruelty light.
