Soichiro Honda

Honda apprenticed at the Art Shokai repair business and later ran its Hamamatsu operation before moving into manufacturing. Repairing different vehicles gave him a practical education in how machines behaved outside a drawing office. His later partnership with Takeo Fujisawa also matters: technical curiosity was complemented by someone concentrating on the business side.
