8 Women (2002)
Movie

François Ozon confines a household of spectacularly incompatible women around a murdered man, then lets songs expose feelings that polite conversation cannot contain. Every relationship changes the temperature of the questioning. Pick it for the glamorous ensemble and family grudges that make Knives Out entertaining, with the important difference that this is an openly artificial musical. Its colour and comedy do not make the household's cruelty harmless.
