Death on the Nile (1978)
Movie

Peter Ustinov's Poirot has an entire luxury steamer of resentments to sort through after an heiress is killed. The pleasure is watching a large cast make entitlement, embarrassment and jealousy legible in short encounters. Choose this 1978 adaptation for an expansive older version of the enclosed suspect gathering, with a particularly enjoyable Angela Lansbury among the passengers. It takes a more leisurely route than Knives Out; this is not the later Kenneth Branagh film.
