Baldur's Gate III (2023)

A plan can survive a failed conversation because the world gives you other things to try: another route, an unlikely spell or help from a companion. That generous responsiveness makes this long fantasy adventure worth sampling even without affection for its setting. Expect to learn plenty of combat rules, but the reward is a party whose disagreements and decisions feel consequential.
