Citizen Sleeper (2022)

Each day begins with a limited set of dice, and deciding where to use them turns survival into a question about obligations. Work, bodily maintenance and helping someone compete for the same resources, giving the prose about precarious life a practical weight. The space station becomes familiar through small relationships rather than a galaxy of lore. Expect plenty of reading and some deliberate resource pressure alongside the humane science fiction.
