Undertale makes familiar RPG habits feel personal, so its conclusions can reflect the way you have treated the people you met. For the warmest payoff, I recommend pursuing True Pacifist: avoid killing and develop friendships, then follow the extra steps after a Neutral ending. Your earlier decisions determine whether a reload or a new run is needed. The first credits can be a stopping point, but they need not be the last.
