Soma (2015)

Walking across a dark seabed makes the small lights of an installation feel both comforting and horribly inadequate. The underwater stretches earn this horror story a place for their isolation, although much of the adventure takes place inside a research facility rather than swimming in open water. Safe Mode reduces the danger from creatures, but leaves disturbing imagery and a demanding story about identity and consciousness.
