The Flatshare (2019)

Tiffy and Leon share a bed on opposite work schedules and get to know one another through notes before meeting. That practical arrangement supplies an immediate hook, and the alternating voices make their growing connection easy to follow. Pick it for romantic-comedy conversation with real emotional stakes. It is a full-length novel rather than a quick novella, and the abusive behaviour of an ex-partner makes it heavier than the playful premise suggests.
