The Offing (2019)

A young man walking away from the future expected of him meets an older woman with a formidable appetite for food, poetry and living. The coastal setting and unlikely friendship make discovery feel like an everyday possibility. Choose it when the invitation back to books needs to come through warmth and language, rather than a race towards a twist.
