Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan (2016)

Kiro'o Games' African-inspired fantasy gives its towns and societies their own histories, hierarchies and competing ideas about inherited power. The Cameroonian studio builds a created world around Enzo and Erine's journey, rather than asking one real country to stand for a continent. Choose it for substantial world-building and fast, combo-driven two-dimensional battles. Its English script can be uneven, so some patience with the presentation helps the setting's ambitions come through.
