Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition (2019)

Clear party roles, readable command menus and a story that explains its own world make this a welcoming traditional Japanese RPG. Companions arrive gradually, giving you room to learn what healing, spells and equipment are for. Leave the optional Draconian restrictions off when starting. The Definitive Edition is the version here, and it is a very long adventure with a deliberate opening, so choose it when you want an epic rather than a sampler.
