Costume Quest (2010)

A costume changes a child's everyday appearance into an obvious combat role, making RPG classes understandable before the menus become intimidating. Costume Quest keeps its party and attacks small, with Halloween exploration providing regular breaks from battles. Timed button prompts add a little pressure, but the basic choices are easy to follow. A good shorter starting point if a giant fantasy saga feels like too much commitment.
