Divinity: Original Sin II - Definitive Edition (2018)

Elements leave surfaces behind, so a spell can change the next character's options as well as deal damage. Physical and magical armour also make target selection a party-level decision: scattering attacks carelessly can leave every enemy able to act. The result is a demanding playground for action-point planning and environmental combinations. Equipment and encounter levels matter sharply, so approaching a difficult area in a different order can be wiser than repeating the same losing plan.
