Major growth comes from Grimoire Shards awarded through progress and selected challenges, so circling an easy enemy group cannot buy your way past every boss. That keeps its turn-based battles focused on party decisions and the Overdrive meter. Equipment and skill improvements still matter, and some optional systems invite extra collecting.
