Darkwood (2017)

Daytime scavenging funds the barricades, traps and generator fuel that help you survive the night. A useful haul is only useful if you get it home, and repairing the same weak entrance can quietly consume tomorrow's plans. This is a top-down survival game with horror throughout, rather than an ammunition-starved shooter. Difficulty changes the consequences of death; start with the more recoverable rules before adding harsher penalties. Choose it for long-term preparation under pressure.
