On the default rules, food supplies timed benefits rather than a starvation clock. That leaves more space for exploring ruins, gliding and constructing a home between expeditions. Relaxed or custom world settings can further reduce gathering and equipment friction; the Survival preset deliberately adds harsher needs. Its full release arrived in October 2026. Choose it for adventure-led building, while accepting that useful meals, crafting stations and demanding enemies still require preparation.
