Mono can use a weapon in some encounters with smaller enemies, so this is not completely combat-free. Those moments do not give you a reliable answer to its enormous pursuers: observation, hiding and escape still define the adventure. Expect deliberate heavy swings when fighting is required, plus timed movement and depth judgement elsewhere. The vulnerability returns after each brief advantage.
