Pacific Rim (2013)
Movie
Released
The first film makes cooperation visible through the work of sharing a machine. After Uprising, another cinema story would be more interesting from the repair crews or a vulnerable coastal community than from a still larger robot. That viewpoint could restore the weight of collective survival while finding a genuinely different use for the world.
