Facing determines which armour sections take punishment, while elevation, cover and movement affect the exchanges between your mechs. Initiative lets a lighter machine's timing matter alongside its firepower, and concentrating attacks can open a particular part of an enemy. Choose it for deliberate battles with a strong sense of direction and exposure. Hit chances, heat, stability and loadouts all matter too, with repairs and possible pilot deaths carrying consequences into the mercenary campaign.
