Heat (1995)
Movie
Released
Neil McCauley's crew treat a robbery as professional work, which makes a breach of discipline feel immediately expensive. Michael Mann gives routes, vehicles and the surrounding city enough clarity for improvisation to remain readable. The attraction is watching operational competence collide with the private attachments that no checklist can remove.
