A limited pool of orders makes a quiet turn meaningful: using workers now can leave fewer actions for an army or diplomat. Family relationships and ageing rulers give those decisions a human timescale. Work through the tutorials, use the nested explanations and take advantage of undo while learning. The base game already supplies the core dynastic system, so the larger expansion bundle can wait. This is a turn-based route into governing competing priorities rather than simply expanding faster.
