Medicine can treat it, but an injured character falling again can die for good, and leaving the condition untreated also has consequences. That makes the aftermath a genuine choice about care, replacements and who should risk the next battle. The tactical campaign keeps moving through those decisions. It is especially suitable if you want losses to change a party without assuming every knockout must immediately end a career.
