Keep the first crop patch modest and there is room for fishing, museum finds, mine expeditions and friendships that develop through their own scenes. Energy makes early overplanting expensive in time as well as effort, so a bigger harvest need not be your first ambition. Choose it for a valley that gradually becomes familiar; marriage and completion goals can wait while you find a daily rhythm you enjoy.
