Super Mario RPG (2023)

The 2023 remake keeps the odd party, compact adventures and timed button presses that made a menu-based Mario game feel playful. Updated timing feedback helps a newcomer understand what an attack or block is asking for, while the characters still carry much of the comedy. New chain benefits and Triple Moves reward that participation more generously. They also change the balance, sometimes making ordinary battles easier than a returning player remembers. The original's personality survives more faithfully than its exact level of resistance.
