Master (2022)
Movie

An elite university offers advancement while making its Black women work out which forms of hostility the institution is willing to recognise. Mariama Diallo places a haunted-school story beside everyday professional negotiation, so reassurance can become another threat. Regina Hall's measured presence gives that pressure a particularly weary force. A challenging choice involving racism, institutional abandonment and suicide.
