Tools have uses worth experimenting with, so curiosity can change how a familiar passage is understood. It adds exploration driven by observation rather than a crowded quest log. Reaching an ending and solving the deeper secrets are very different commitments. Some puzzles become deliberately obscure, making it a better fit for curiosity than for guaranteed steady progress.
