Into the Breach (2018)

Enemy intentions are drawn as directional attacks with damage numbers, making this compact tactics game unusually good at showing what a move will change. Enable colourblind mode in an updated PC version: Alpha enemies gain an identifying icon rather than relying on their tint. Read terrain and status information too, especially when fire or several effects overlap. The pleasure is solving the board, rather than guessing which shade of insect is dangerous.
