Devotions (2017)

Oliver’s selected poems offer individual acts of attention, often beginning with an encounter in the natural world. There is no plot to reconstruct after an interruption: one poem can be the whole session. Give it enough time to hear the movement of the language. The collection’s size is a supply of future visits, not a demand to finish a section every day.
