Written in response to a friend, this short book divides its thinking about raising a girl into fifteen suggestions. The numbered sections let you take one question at a time, then return without reassembling a plot. Adichie’s argument gains force through its connections, so read the whole sequence eventually; a break can still hold one clear idea worth discussing.
