Chat, signs and a shared map make a home base or mining route understandable without a call. Two players can divide gathering and building, then compare what they brought back when both are somewhere safe. Keep an agreed stash of supplies and discuss the next boss in writing before summoning it. During hectic fights there is little time to type, so this works best when the plan is made before the arena fills.
