Minecraft: Java Edition (2011)

A private shared world can hold its own instructions in signs, labelled chests and books, with ordinary text chat for a quick question. Building a little settlement together gives you visible intentions rather than hidden roles. Use the same edition and compatible game version, and choose Creative or a gentler survival plan if typing during danger would be awkward. Boss fights and complicated machinery need more advance agreement than placing a few blocks.
