Enemies show their intentions and the turn-based combat gives your group time to inspect the board. Pings can highlight enemies, rewards and choices, making an intended move easier to explain without a microphone. Allies can act within the same turn, so agree who is doing what before spending actions that another player was counting on. It rewards a small, patient team more than a race to click first.
