Place units, watch the machines fight and work out what the opponent is likely to change for the next round. A new angle, a screen of cheap units or the right upgrade can be a more useful answer than buying another impressive robot. Combat resolves automatically, so the challenge is counter-building and deployment rather than selecting targets rapidly. Preparation is still timed. Start with familiar unit roles and modest plans, then learn to scout before committing your resources.
