The Swimmers (2022)
Movie
Released
Swimming is first a trained skill and then something the sisters must draw on during an appalling journey from Syria. Their different ambitions make the later sporting opportunity more complicated than a universal rescue story. Inspired by Yusra and Sara Mardini's lives, it includes war, danger at sea and distressing material, so approach it as a refugee drama as well as a sports film.
